I don’t know about you, but I’m still trying to wrap my mind around 2016. I feel like 2015 and I were just getting comfortable with each other and now they’re gone. *sigh* Oh, well. You know what that means? It’s time to think about those resolutions.
2016 will be the year of better habits. I’m striving to treat myself better physically, emotionally, and mentally through good choices and acts of self-kindness. I’m not focusing on only these habits, but these are habits that I’m actively working into my day.
- Drink more water for better hydration, fewer headaches, and clearer skin.
- Hand cream and nail cream for my poor hands. My hands look like I’ve climbed my way through the wilderness.
- Give myself enough time to really put work into myself in the mornings and evenings. I truly cherish my time at my vanity putting on my makeup and taking care of my skin, but lately there just hasn’t been enough time in the mornings. I love doing my makeup and it’s time I make that a priority again.
- Create without pressure. I’m so inspired by the looks I see on Instagram and Pinterest, but I get so bogged down that I don’t look exactly like the girl in the photos. I need to take pride in how I look and the work I put into my look. Yes, I don’t look exactly like the girl on Pinterest, but I’m still hella cute!
Again, not the only habits I’m working on improving, but these are the most important to me know. I like myself, but at the end of 2016 I will love myself. I’m going to cherish my time, effort, and progress. I can’t wait to get started!
